Cowboy Films' first feature was Nick Love's debut film, GOODBYE CHARLIE BRIGHT in 2002. This was followed by THE HOLE (directed by Nick Hamm, staring Thora Birch and Keira Knightly) and the Anglo-Italian co-production THE SOUL KEEPER (directed by Roberto Faenza and staring Emilia Fox).

In 2006 Cowboy produced THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND, starring Forest Whitaker and James McAvoy. Directed by Kevin MacDonald, the film won a BAFTA for Best British Film and numerous other awards including an Oscar for Best Actor. The film was released worldwide by Fox Searchlight.

In 2008 POPPY SHAKESPEARE was completed. Based on Clare Allan's award winning book the films stars Naomie Harris and Anna Maxwell Martin and was directed by Benjamin Ross. The film was critically acclaimed when it was broadcast on Channel 4 and premiered internationally at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival. Anna Maxwell Martin won the BAFTA for Best Actress and the film won the Jury and Young Jury prizes at the Cinemascience Festival in Bordeaux and the Best Independent Feature Film Award at the Santa Barbara Film Festival. Content International are handling sales.

In post production is the cinema documentary WAR IN BABYLON, about the 1970s/80s West Indian Cricket team. This aims to be the first definitive film on this fantastic chapter in sporting history and will explore the impact the West Indian team made on the game of cricket, set against the social, political and cultural backdrop of the period. The film is directed by Stevan Riley, and co-produced with Passion Pictures.

In addition the company has produced a number of short films including Tim Pope's PHONE, Nick Love's LOVE STORY and Andrea Arnold's Oscar-winning short film WASP.

Most recently Cowboy produced Martina Amati's debut drama, A'MARE, which screened in competition at the Sundance Film Festival and won a number of awards, including the UNICEF Award in Bilbao and the BAFTA / LA Certificate of Excellence at Aspen. Martina has just completed her latest short I-DO-AIR, which premiered at the London Film Festival 2009.
